Terms of Service

1. Who we are

aqua is a marketplace for buying and selling Minecraft accounts, with optional escrow protection and a public vouch system. We are not Mojang, Microsoft, Hypixel, or any other game operator.

2. Eligibility

You may use aqua if you:

• are at least 13 years old, and old enough to enter a binding contract where you live;
• can lawfully buy and sell digital goods in your country;
• have not been previously banned from aqua.

3. Your account

You are responsible for everything done under your account, including listings, messages, and escrows. Keep your password and 2FA codes private. Tell us right away if you suspect your account is compromised. We may suspend or close any account that breaks these terms.

4. Listings, purchases, and escrow

Sellers must accurately describe what they're selling. Buyers must pay through aqua escrow when using a listing. Trading off-platform is not protected, even if you found the seller on aqua.

aqua holds funds during a deal and only releases them once the buyer confirms the account works. If you and the seller disagree, aqua reviews the dispute and decides who keeps the funds. We do not refund payments made outside aqua escrow.

5. Fees

aqua takes a 10% commission on each completed sale, deducted from the seller's payout. Buyers pay a 3% escrow fee on top of the listing price. Fees may change with notice.

6. Prohibited content and conduct

You may not:

• list accounts you do not own, or that were obtained through fraud, beaming, or theft;
• list accounts banned on the platform whose ban status you fail to disclose;
• impersonate another person, seller, or aqua staff;
• harass, threaten, or scam other users;
• circumvent escrow, bypass aqua fees, or move conversations off-platform to defraud;
• use bots, scrapers, or automated tools without written permission.

7. Verified listings

The "verified by aqua" badge means we manually checked ownership and key claims. It is not a guarantee of future support from the game operator. A verified listing can still be revoked or banned by the operator outside aqua's control.

8. Intellectual property

The aqua name, logo, and site design are ours. You keep ownership of the content you post but grant aqua a worldwide, non-exclusive license to display it on the platform.

9. Disclaimers

aqua is provided "as is." We do our best to verify listings, hold funds safely, and resolve disputes fairly, but we do not guarantee account longevity, server access, or rank persistence.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent allowed by law, aqua's total liability to you for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the 90 days before the claim arose.

11. Termination

You can close your account at any time from your settings. We can suspend or close any account that breaks these terms, with or without notice.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. If the changes are material we'll notify you in-product or by email. Continued use of aqua after changes means you accept them.
